“Risen from a dream, silently screaming for hope, and longing for home. My creator, London-based Iraqi-Kurdish artist, Walid Siti, internalised my very complex structure. An artist from the lost generation, in exile, and threatened and repressed by decades of uncertainty and war. Today, I represent the deep-rooted violence of a nation, wounded and composed of scorched black earth, twisted with barbed wire and novel toy soldiers. A wreckage, heavy and displaced.
I am a creation by Walid Siti and I come from The Black Tower series.”
