CARING FOR YOUR ARTWORK

Your artwork is made to be lived with. Overtime, it becomes part of your space – shaped by light, surroundings and the moments that unfold around it. With thoughtful placement and gentle care, it will continue to bring depth and presence into your space for years to come.

FINDING THE RIGHT LOCATION

Choose a considered place for your artwork – one that welcomes natural light without exposing it to the full intensity of the sun. Prolonged direct sunlight can gradually fade and soften its colours, so positioning it beside a window, rather than directly in front, allows light to enhance rather than diminish it.

it’s equally important to keep your artwork away from heat sources and areas of high humidity. Avoid placing artworks in bathrooms or near kitchens unless the space is well-ventilated, as moisture and airborne particles can affect the surface over time. In a balance environment, your artwork will retain its depth, clarity and presence for many years to come.

HANDLING

Handle your artwork with the same care, as you would something valuable. Use clean hands or wear soft cotton gloves to protect it from oils and dust.

If you need to transport your framed artwork, wrap it securely with bubble wrap, ensuring it is well-cushioned. When carrying a framed piece, avoid lifting it from the top. Instead, support it from beneath or hold it gently at either side so it remains steady and protected.

CARING

Give your artwork a little care now and then. A soft, dry duster is all it needs – just enough to lift away any settled dust and keep its surface clear. It’s best to take the piece down from the wall before cleaning so it can be handled with ease. Avoid using liquids or sprays, as they can be too harsh for delicate surfaces.

SECURING AND INSTALLING YOUR ARTWORK

Ensure your artwork is installed with care and intention, using heavy-duty wall anchors, art hangers, or screws suited to both the weight of the piece and the surface of your wall.

We recommend avoiding adhesive hooks or tapes; while convenient, they rarely provide the long-term support required and may put your artwork at risk.

If styling your piece on a shelf, a discreet touch – such as a small amount of blu-tak behind the upper corners can help hold it in place while maintaining a clean presentation.
