“You can learn a lot from mistakes, miscalculations, misinterpretations. My creator, Louise Olsen, celebrates the perfection within imperfection. The Australian artist playfully expressed: ‘I am so in love with the process, there is so much discovery in the making, there are so many errors that happen along the way.’ I am the result of flow and form. The languorous flow of a delicate jellyfish floating carelessly, seduced by the glowing form of the alluring moonlight. I am both practical and precious. Borne from the tenacious resin, a perfect gelatinous liquid, singularly flowed through each one of my tentacles. Slowly. Tenderly. Sinking beautifully. Layer upon layer of manipulated pigmented shades, my brilliance materialised into a solid purposeful table. Surprisingly, I come from a small family, there are 49 others all lovingly hand-made in Australia. And despite my solid and silky-smooth appearance, there is one cautionary tip I must share. I am like wood and may be prone to scratches, handle me with care and please keep me away from direct heat.
